Following his graduation from Paddington college in London Alan practised in a number of centres in the United Kingdon, Belvidere Hospital in Glasgow, followed by Nottingham, Derby and Leicester. In 2006 he made the move to joint the team at FOS based in Perth Western Australia. There is no doubt that the amputee population in Western Australia has benefited greatly from his depth of knowledge and his wealth of experience.
In his career he has endevoured to help those who are unable to access prosthetic services in the more remote and underdeveloped places in the world. He has actively participated in projects in Romania and is currently working with The John Fawcett Founation in Bali where he has already sucessfully treated a number of patients who are now walking in the community who were not prior to his visits. |
